Message: Thanks Zach. It's just a pity that most of the advertising is being left to individuals. Scottish Swimming have no trouble pushing out endless swimming stuff on their website and SplashNews but seem to put all sorts of limitations on water polo coverage. They'll say that they need material to be submitted but I'm not convinced that that is all of the problem. I know the SWP fraternity doesn't do enough to publicicise the sport but all the professional staff at Scottish Swimming seem focussed on competitive swimming only. I keep trying to convince the powers that be that SWP needs its own attractive website rather than relying on the SS site which must be the least attractive site going - never mind the poor polo content. I know it still needs somebody (or bodies) to keep the site up to date but I look at the DWPC site and see that it can be done - if there is the will. I don't mind that, in order to keep our members informed, we are also the main source of information for the Scottish polo fraternity at large. It shouldn't be like that. You just have to check around the Net and there are loads of national water polo sites - divorced from the governing swimming bodies - which are really pertinent, informative and attractive.
