The team performed very well despite being generally younger and lighter, 3 of our team were under 1992 with five 1994+. The effort put in by all the players was superb.
We have, over the past few years, edged closer to the top teams and losing by only 1/2 goals to teams containing many of the current GB 1991+ squad and who we expect to reach the final stages, was an excellent result for us and demonstrates how far the team have progressed through hard work.
The competion was extremely well organised and I have no complaints with the referees, we both gained and lost from refereeing decisions which wee all made in good faith, we lost the matches due to our mistakes, missed chances and a poor man-up.
The presence of an official delegate will, I think, raise the standard of refereeing with immediate feed-back given to them and should be encouraged.
